Seriously this weather is driving me nuts. It was 34deg celcius this afternoon – it was soo warm i refused to leave my room to walk to Macs which is prob like 5 mins away in Engin. Aargh. Copious amounts of ice cold coke should help but there are 2 problems: 1) coke will make me fat 2) my fridge in my room is wonky – it’s incredibly cold a second and the ice starts melting the next second. But at the moment, the coke in my mug is really helping. Plus Jay Zhou music and talking to friends over MSN.

Sane weather – where art thou?

With insane weather though, comes awesomely beautiful skies. Like really beautifully blue ones that seem to stretch till forever. This is my desktop wallpaper at the moment – to remind me that there is always something to look forward to in all the insanity that’s around me e.g. scorching weather that makes me sweat like a pig and impending Graduation.

I’ve been eating too much red sour sweet thingies that I keep buying from the COOP. You know the kind that keeps you awake by virtue of it being sour. Haha.

I’ve been eating too much CNY cookies and tidbits that friends have been bringing back to hall and for study sessions back in BTC. Oops. I better run off all these excess unneeded food.

I’ve been listening to Ke$ha’s Tik Tok for a million times. Okay not a million –  a few hundred.

I’ve been revving up to start on my gazillion assignments which I’ve not started on yet! Basic research is almost done though for ICA, the first one that’s due.

I been needing to thank L, C and Y for keeping me sane this week. I think I would have just exploded figuring out what needs to be done first.

I’ve been trying to figure out what literary modernism is like and I need to know like pronto. I think I know it but then again, I don’t think I know it or know enough of it. Both of us need to get an A for this midsem exam no matter what. It can be done.

Okay. Stupid weather is driving me nuts as well. Nap.

Anyway, Amplitude 09/10 was yesterday and I had a ball! It was soo fun – my last Amplitude so I was actually pretty sad – been in Amplitude since Year 1 lei. But I wanna form an Alumni acca group thingy so we can join them next year to perform at Amplitude or at PhoenixFest! Wheeee. We did Enya’s “May It Be”, Emmy Rossum’s “Slow Me Down” and “Sing Me to Heaven” which were all well received whee It does show that numbers do not really matter as long as you do it slow, steady and very well! I’m gonna miss choir loads when I leave hall and embark on a mind-numbing legal career. Argh. ><

Anyway, true to my fashion of trying to spice things up, with the help of C, I came up with a script that was intentionally cheesy to the max!

Once upon a time, as all stories begin, there lived a group of students who chose to live in a land of books, labs and assignments. these students would always be stuck in a book or to their laptops, oblivious to everything. One day however, these students became tired of living their lives this way and all alone. With this in mind, they began a rousing prayer.

Then lo and behold as if by magic, many found another with whom they could share their lives with. They’d spend hours reminiscing and sharing deep philosophical thoughts – like why plastic bags flew in a circular motion on a windy day, as if blown by some unknown force which understood beauty in simplicity. Some however began to doubt: Was this the right person? Things are moving way to quickly – Slow me down please?

Once however each one of them knew that this was right and that feelings were mutual, they kept on with their promises and married that very girl or boy that they met that fateful day – when they stumbled upon their shoes or when a book fell on their feet or when by some freaky chance, they got to sit next to each other in a module that had assigned seating. At one of their weddings where each of them vowed to live with each other through sickness and in health till death did them apart, they sang a tune to each other that further sealed this sacred bond between them. Awesome night out with friends (and a new friend too!) – Happy birthday B! I love evenings like this when I really don’t have a care in the world at all. And I care zilch about what happens the day after – haha actually i do lahr but yeah you get it.
